Job Description

Job summary This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our North West Community CAMHS Team in Horsham providing leadership to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to Children and Young People. This job attracts a Recruitment and Retention payment of £45,000 structured over a three-year period as follows: o£15,000 payable upon successful recruitment o£10,000 payable at 12 months' service o£10,000 payable at 24 months' service o£10,000 payable at 36 months' service The Recruitment and Retention payment is pro rata for part time employees. Maintain a workload of approximately 50-60 open cases at any one time and approximately 1 new case seen per week Attend at local governance meetings to contribute towards business planning. Lead on the improvement of the quality of care within the team and contribute to improving quality across the system. Be responsible for carrying out administration in line with the Trust's policies in relation to patient care, supervision of resident doctors and continuing professional development (CPD). What you will do

What success looks like
Essential criteria - MB BS or equivalent medical qualification. - Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment. - Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months. - Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment - Excellent knowledge in specialty - Excellent oral and written communication skills in English - Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge Desirable criteria - MRCPsych - Additional clinical qualifications. SL - In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice - Wide range of specialist and sub-specialist experience relevant to post within NHS or comparable service
