Job summary
This role is intended to support a Clinical Transformation programme taking places across BSW Hospitals Group. This role will be aligned to Salisbury Foundation Trust and will report to the Head of Information. The successful post-holder will work across BSW Hospitals Group and will have two equivalents based at RUH Bath and GWH Swindon.
Main duties of the job
The Clinical Transformation project is a high priority strategic programme being delivered across BSW Hospitals. The programme team includes senior operational and clinical staff but has a high reliance on good quality data and BI to support its objectives. You will work closely with operational and clinical teams across BSW Hospitals and will deliver analysis to support them on delivering this project over the course of the contract.

Essential criteria
- Degree or equivalent in numerical subject, and evidence of continuing professional development
- At least 2 years' experience in information analysis and interpretation
- Experience of working in a complex and demanding environment
- Strong statistical and analytical knowledge, with the ability to interpret and present conclusions, both written and verbal, to a wide range of customers
- Experienced in working with and managing complex data sets
- Knowledge of SQL Server/Postgresql programming and administration tasks relevant to data processing and transformation
- Good knowledge of advanced features of Microsoft Excel 2010, including writing complex formulae, pivot tables and lookups, to manipulate and present data
- Highly skilled in the interpretation and presentation of data, with the ability to adapt style to suit the target audience
- Experience working in an NHS based Business Intelligence team
Desirable criteria
- Specialist knowledge and experience of information management and business intelligence in an NHS information analyst role
- Experience relevant to working in an acute Trust
- Experience of mentoring staff, including those that are not data literate
- An expert knowledge of NHS reporting, structures, content and data standards
- Previous experience with Power BI
