Job Description

Hybrid: minimum of 8 days a month in London office Are you an experienced Data Analyst who can turn complex information into clear, actionable insight? This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in how GamCare uses data to understand performance, improve services and support evidence-based decision-making that will help make a difference to the lives of people affected by gambling-related harms. Working across our services, you will analyse complex datasets, identify trends and opportunities, and translate your findings into meaningful recommendations. You will develop and maintain datasets, dashboards and reports, helping colleagues monitor performance, understand outcomes and demonstrate the impact of our work. You will also review and improve the systems and processes that support service delivery, ensuring data is accurate, consistent and reliable. This will include developing automated solutions, improving reporting processes and working closely with colleagues across service, data and IT teams to help them access, understand and use data effectively. About You To succeed in this role, you will need advanced experience of Power BI, including semantic models, star schemas, DAX, calculated columns, hierarchies and performance optimisation. You will also be proficient in Power Query Editor and M Language, with experience of Power BI datasets, dataflows, semantic layers and SQL for querying, transforming, testing and validating data from multiple sources. You will bring experience from an analytical or data-focused role, working with large and complex datasets to produce reports, insights and recommendations. Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills are essential, alongside excellent attention to detail, knowledge of data governance and GDPR, and experience of handling sensitive data. You will also need the ability to manage competing priorities, collaborate effectively and identify improvements to systems and processes. We operate the National Gambling Helpline, provide treatment for anyone who is harmed by gambling, create awareness about safer gambling and treatment, and encourage an effective approach to safer gambling within the gambling industry.
