Are you a Speech and Language Therapist looking to make a difference to the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are seeking an enthusiastic therapist to provide assessment, diagnosis and intervention for children and young people with a range of speech, language and communication needs, including Developmental Language Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder and complex SEND. Working across educational settings, you will collaborate with schools, families and multi-disciplinary professionals to support positive outcomes for children and young people. Main duties of the job As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will work with children and young people with a range of speech, language and communication needs across educational settings in Merton. You will carry out assessments, develop and deliver effective intervention programmes, and provide advice and support to schools, families and other professionals to help children achieve the best possible outcomes. You will work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary SEND service, supporting inclusive practice within schools and helping education staff develop the skills and confidence to meet pupils' communication needs. The role also involves contributing to training, consultation, service development and statutory processes where appropriate.
