Job Description

Senior Full Stack Developer (Laravel / Mobile Apps) Salary: £50,000–£60,000 DOE Private Healthcare Location: Home-based (UK) My client has developed a rapidly growing construction technology platform helping contractors manage compliance, permits, inspections, RAMS, site documentation, forms and workforce management through a simple, intuitive digital platform. Designed specifically for the construction industry, it is already gaining traction with contractors across the UK, with significant opportunities for expansion over the coming years. Although they operate with the energy and pace of a technology start-up, they benefit from the stability, investment and long-term backing of an established Group of Companies, giving their team the best of both worlds: the opportunity to build something exciting, supported by a successful and financially secure business. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of a growing software product from an early stage. The Opportunity: We're looking for a talented and motivated Senior Full Stack Developer who wants to make a genuine impact. This isn't a role where you'll simply be handed specifications to code. You'll become one of the key technical decision-makers within the business, working closely with the Director of Operations to shape the future direction of the platform. Initially, you'll take ownership of developing new features across the Laravel web platform and expanding the mobile offering, including the development of an Android application alongside their existing iOS platform. As the business grows, you'll have the opportunity to build and lead a software development team, making this an ideal role for someone with ambitions to progress into Software Development Manager or Technical Lead. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain the software platform. Design, develop and maintain the iOS platform. Develop and enhance our Laravel-based web application. Design and build our Android mobile application. Maintain and develop APIs and backend services. Work closely with the business to translate customer requirements into technical solutions. Improve application performance, scalability and security. Manage releases to Google Play and Apple App Store. Maintain cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. Participate in product planning and technical architecture decisions. Produce clean, maintainable, well-tested code. Help define future development standards and processes. About You: You'll be someone who enjoys taking ownership and solving problems rather than waiting for instructions. You'll be comfortable working remotely, organising your own workload and taking responsibility for delivering high-quality software. You'll thrive in a fast-moving environment where your ideas genuinely influence the direction of the product. Most importantly, you'll be excited by the opportunity to help grow a software business from an emerging product into an established market leader. Essential Skills Strong commercial experience with Laravel / PHP. Swift/iOS experience. Experience developing REST APIs. MySQL or PostgreSQL. JavaScript and modern frontend frameworks. Experience building Android applications (React Native or Kotlin). Experience integrating mobile apps with backend APIs. Git version control. Docker and CI/CD experience. Cloud platforms (AWS or Azure). Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills. Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Desirable Skills: React Native. Construction, field service or SaaS experience. Offline mobile synchronisation. Push notifications. Firebase. AI integration (OpenAI, Copilot etc.). Experience mentoring or leading developers. What We Offer - £50,000–£60,000 salary (depending on experience) - Private Healthcare - Fully remote/home-based working - Flexible working environment - Modern development tools and technology - Significant autonomy and responsibility - Opportunity to shape a rapidly growing SaaS platform - Genuine career progression into Software Development Management. - The backing and security of an established Group of Companies, while working in an agile, entrepreneurial environment. You'll have the opportunity to influence the direction of an ambitious software product from an early stage, see your work deployed directly to customers, and play a major part in building a business with significant growth ambitions. If you're looking for a role where you can genuinely make a difference, take ownership, and develop into a future technical leader, we'd love to hear from you.
