Job summary Part time post - 32 hours per week available The Medical Directorate Support Service are looking for a dynamic, friendly and organised administration assistant to work within the Medical Directorate Team based at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle. You will be required to work within a small team to provide a comprehensive administration service supporting the Medical Directorate function and teams. Essential criteria - NVQ 3 in administration or equivalent. - Previous administrative experience in a customer focused organisation. - Proven experience of working as part of a team. - Operating word processing and computer packages. - Continuing professional development with portfolio. - Awareness of Equality issues. - Knowledge of working time regulations - Knowledge of Data Protection legislation - Use of Outlook to arrange and manage multiple dairies. - Experience of admin and clerical role - Customer services experience - Proficient in IT / Microsoft packages - Experience of exporting, collating, analysing and drafting information into presentable formats - Accurate typing skills - Approachable, ability to work as part of a team - Work to processes and task management prioritation - Ability to work accurately, prepare routine written correspondence - Capability to build and maintain effective relationships having effective communication and interpersonal skills - Advanced IT skills including proven abilities in using Microsoft Office - Competence to prioritise own workload and work to deadlines - Demonstrate good attention to detail - Exhibit excellent organisational skills - Able to maintain a professional manner. - Ability to work autonmosly - Flexible approach to work - Good interpersonal skills - Act in ways that support equality and value diversity (Level 1) Cumbria. - Support equality and value diversity (Level 2) Desirable criteria - Experience in planning, organising and servicing meetings, including Minute Taking. - Knowledge of regulatory functions related to doctors including Junior Doctor Contract
