Job Description

Job summary We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Neurodevelopmental Clinician to join Skylight Psychiatrys growing multidisciplinary team. This assessment-focused role is responsible for delivering high-quality ADHD and Autism assessments for children, young people, and adults, primarily through virtual consultations, with occasional face-to-face appointments as required. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing person-centred care while supporting individuals and families through the diagnostic process within a dynamic and forward-thinking neurodevelopmental service. Main duties of the job The postholder will undertake a high volume of ADHD and Autism assessments, prepare comprehensive clinical reports, and contribute to multidisciplinary discussions to support diagnostic decision-making and patient care. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate clinical records, participating in supervision and team meetings, supporting service improvement initiatives, sharing information and expertise with colleagues, contributing to staff development activities, and participating in duty rota arrangements. The role also requires a strong focus on safeguarding, risk assessment, clinical quality, and delivering an excellent patient experience throughout the assessment process. We are a CQC registered service delivering person-centred assessment, care and support, with our ultimate aim being to improve the lives of people with neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD, Autism and Learning disabilities. Role Purpose We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional to join our friendly and supportive team. The successful candidate will administer ADHD/Autism assessments virtually, providing in person appointments where required at the service location nearest to them (please visit our website to view a list of our clinic locations). The role will involve working from home to complete documentation, attend meetings, and support other aspects of the service. This is a high-intensity assessment-focused role designed for clinicians who are comfortable undertaking a sustained volume of neurodevelopmental assessments whilst maintaining excellent clinical quality, professionalism and patient experience. Candidates must possess a minimum of two years experience in the diagnosis and management of ADHD/Autism. The individual must have a strong understanding of safeguarding, and risk assessment and management. Proficiency in computer skills is imperative, and training will be provided on our patient record system. The successful candidate will share our visions and values, and have an understanding or passion for working with neurodivergent individuals. Key Responsibilities Undertake virtual ADHD/Autism assessments, and in person when required (8 per week minimum) Preparation of reports within the required timeframes Attend and contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings Attend monthly management supervision with a member of the senior management team Support service improvement activities under the direction of the Clinical Team Leader and/or Clinical Director Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in patient record systems, clinical reports and other associated documentation Present and share relevant information with colleagues Support and contribute to the training and support of other staff Cover duty rota on a weekly basis Any other duties as deemed to be within the scope of the role Person Specification Essential NMC/HCPC registered or other relevant professional membership 2 years experience in assessment and diagnosis of ADHD or Autism Proficient computer skills Excellent organisational skills Problem solving skills and ability to work on own initiative Attention to detail Flexible and ability to adapt to the needs of the service Skilled communicator Good understanding of data confidentiality Good understanding of risk assessment, management and dealing with safeguarding concerns Desirable NMP qualification/experience in prescribing medication for ADHD ADOS certification Benefits: Starting salary range of £60,000 - £65,000 depending on experience Opportunities for professional development and growth within the service Annual salary review 25 days annual leave.
