Job Description

A fantastic opportunity for an Employment Lawyer to move away from practice and join an established professional services business in a predominantly remote role. Based remotely across England, you will advise a varied client base on the full range of employment law matters, with office attendance required just twice per month. Client Details Our client is an established professional services business providing specialist employment law and HR support to employers across a diverse range of sectors. The organisation is known for taking a pragmatic and commercially focused approach, helping businesses manage complex employee relations matters while providing accessible and responsive legal support. Kingfisher This is an excellent alternative to traditional private practice where you are encouraged to build relationships with the client to become their preferred choice of lawyer and where you'll be encouraged finish up the day at 5pm sharp. Description The Employment Lawyer will be: * Providing practical and commercially focused employment law advice to a varied portfolio of employer clients * Advising on disciplinary matters, grievances, poor performance, capability, sickness absence, discrimination, redundancy, TUPE and general HR matters * Drafting bespoke employment contracts, policies, procedures and other employee documentation * Delivering consultancy services including investigations, consultation processes, formal hearings and employment law training * Managing a broad caseload of contentious and non contentious employment matters and supporting clients with Employment Tribunal matters where required Profile The Employment Lawyer should be: * A solicitor or CILEx Practitioner with strong employment law experience * Experienced in advising employers on a broad range of employment law and employee relations matters * Commercially minded with the ability to provide clear, pragmatic and solutions focused advice * Confident managing their own client relationships and a varied caseload * Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team * Experienced in Employment Tribunal matters would be advantageous, although this is not essential * Comfortable participating in an on call rota providing advice to clients outside standard working hours Job Offer The successful Employment Lawyer will receive a salary of up to £55,000 alongside an exceptionally flexible working arrangement. The role is predominantly remote, with office attendance required just twice per month, giving you significantly more flexibility than most traditional legal roles. You will also have the opportunity to work directly with a broad range of businesses, developing your commercial understanding and gaining exposure beyond traditional legal advisory work through client training, investigations, consultations and formal hearings. For an employment specialist looking for autonomy, flexibility and plenty of direct client contact, this represents an excellent opportunity to develop a long term career within a specialist professional services environment.
