The role is covering maternity leave so is a Fixed Term post for 12 months
We have an exciting opportunity to join our St Helen's North 0-19 team as a Public Health Nurse, supporting the delivery of a public health offer to children and young people and delivering the Healthy Child Programme core offer. T. The public health nurse role gives a great insight to our service and has supported employees to develop into other roles associated with public health and 0-19 services. We have great feedback from students and staff who enjoy working within a friendly and supportive team.
Main duties of the job
Supporting the 0-19 service to deliver the public health offer in St Helen's.
Managing a safeguarding caseload, including completing health assessments, contributing to multi-agency meetings and completing reports.
Delegation and work planning/organisation
Facilitating clinics across St Helen's

Supervision is available to all staff both planned and reactive.

Essential criteria
- RN (Adult or Child/RSCN) or RM
- Working within the 0-19 Team and evidence of managing a school nursing caseload
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding issues
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Ability to use email, internet and word processing software.
- Good verbal and non-verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Ability to support students in placement
