Job summary
The post holder will work as an integral part of a single, county-wide Health Hub team, which provides Health support into two Local Authority-based Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub functions. These are the Cumberland Children's Support and Advice Service (CCASS) and Westmorland & Furness Multi Agency Children's Hub (MACH)-referred to as the MASH's for ease within this job description. Both MASH's are dynamic, multiagency integrated teams with a responsibility to assess notifications, information and referrals related to safeguarding children.
The post holder will provide a full range of administrative support, such as support management of the rota and team diary; organisation, recording and maintaining action plan of Hub Health team meetings, and supporting with reports and governance requirements.
An integral part of the role is to work with the MASH teams to ensure information about children and their family networks is gathered appropriately from a range of health systems; and is accurately recorded on relevant shared information systems. This will support the Safeguarding Hub Specialist Practitioners to inform multiagency decision-making, in response to potential safeguarding and child protection concerns.
The post holder will work as part of a highly supportive health team, within a wider multiagency environment. The work requires dealing with highly sensitive and complex issues, including situations which may be distressing and challenging.
Main duties of the job
The Hub Health Team's role within the MASH will include the gathering, interpreting, analysis and sharing of the information that is necessary to safeguard and/or promote the welfare of a child and to share this to inform the MASH decision making process.
The integrated MASH teams aim to ensure that all safeguarding referrals are dealt with in a timely and effective manner, and that appropriate decisions on referrals are made in accordance with relevant risk thresholds, on the basis of high quality information sharing from partner agencies.

Essential criteria
- Minimum of GCSE level qualification in English Language & Maths
